Last Week of 08/09 ski season

Welcome to the last week of the '08/'09 ski season in Park City. The snow conditions have been great. The past week brought us plenty of new snow helping to keep 100% of the terrain at Deer Valley open through this final week. If you were contemplating a final last minute ski trip....it would be worth the effort.

The New GoDeerValley.com

To those of you who check our blog frequently....we are sorry for the lack of recent posts. We have been working very hard at getting the new GoDeerValley.com through the final design stages and go live with the rebuilt site.

That's right, a whole new site with even more comprehensive market info, real estate opportunities & search features. The new site will feature a custom IDX search solution that you will not find on our competitors web sites, google satellite map searches, satellite street views for the properties, live data feed so everything you look at is current along with quick search links to help you find what you are looking for with much less effort. We have spent a lot of time and a ton of money for our clients & site visitors to have the resources they need at their fingertips. 20% off in Empire Pass

For the next few units sold at Silver Strike Lodge the developer will dicount currently completed inventory by 20% off of the list price. Silver Strike lodge is at the base of the Silver Strike Chairlift and is one of the best ski to/from locations in the entire resort. Pricing ranges from $1.7M (2br) to over $3M (3-4br). This discount would still include a full Talisker Club membership which is currently $100,000. This is a unique moment in time, you will never see these types of opportunities again. 28" of new Powder

The Christmas storm dropped 28" of fresh Utah powder at Deer Valley Resort. This was a very big storm and delivered likely enough to get the rest of the resort open. It was quite windy on Christmas day during the storm, so there are probably many areas of the resorts that were not open yesterday. Get out and enjoy some the the fresh snow if you can, bring your fat skis.

Big Storm!

Finally, the skies have opened up and we have a significant storm putting down a lot of new snow! It started this morning and has been coming down non-stop. The skiing over the Christmas holiday should be fantastic. If you are coming into town in the next 24 hours....be careful driving as the roads are quite bad. If you are already lucky enough to be here....rent powder skis. Happy skiing.

Storm

It's snowing pretty hard outside right now. The storm that just blew in is expected to put down at least 1-2 feet of new snow. Deer Valley continues to open more terrain. Northside Express is now open with just a few runs. It looks as if the Holiday skiing will be good.

Deer Valley Opportunities

Deer Valley developers are beginning to roll out some exciting promotions to help move some of their newly completed inventory. The new Talisker sales team did a presentation in our office this morning and announced some great programs for buyers. They currently have seller financing on lots at Tuhaye, the new PUD project at Tuhaye and on the soon to be released lots at Red Cloud. Red Cloud has some very enticing promotions...not only will they offer seller financing at rates well below market; they are also offering a muli-generational Talisker membership that allows families to get access for their adult children or grandparents. This membership option has not been available before. There will be 5 new lot releases in Red Cloud, these are very desirable ski in/out lots. I expect pricing will be comparable to the last phase release with prices around $5M. Silver Strike Lodge will be announcing their season incentives later today. This newly completed building is close to the Talisker Tower and at the base of the Silver Strike Chairlift. In my opinion, this is one of the best values on the hill. Ski to/from, Talisker Membership, Empire amenities in a location that has limited density and excellent future potential. Current prices at Silver Strike Lodge range from $1,795,000 - $3,295,000.

Snow - the snow keeps coming. We had a great new layer at Deer Valley with some new terrain opened up. The snow was great, nice and soft. I expect that the resort will be able to open up more terrain in the coming week to accommodate the Christmas crowd. It's snowing now and hopefully keeps coming.

Snow Conditions

This weeks storms have helped the snow conditions at the local resorts. Deer Valley still has limited runs open but the quality has improved. Deer Valley received 5" over the past 48 hours and snow is predicted for the rest of the week.

Deer Valley's famed Seafood Buffet & Fire Side Dining opened for the season this past week. Royal St restaurant opens this week for dinner service. If you don't already know, Deer Valley is famous for the fabulous food.
